New record at Christie's

At Christie's November auction, my painting 'Return of the J-Class - Solent 2012' broke a new record for one of my artworks.

The painting smashed the high end of the auction guide price estimate, setting a new personal record of £127,500.

The next painting for Christie's spring auction is already underway and is of the J-Class again, this time at the first of last summer's regattas in Falmouth.  The painting features Lionheart ahead of the fleet in front of Pendennis Castle on Saturday's race of the Falmouth regatta.  Lionheart went on to destroy the fleet that day, taking line honours and announcing her arrival to the J-Class scene.  Danny Miller and Nick Wood, friends of mine aboard Lionheart described the race as one of their top ten races ever!

Keep an eye on the site to see photo's of the painting in progression.
